I love living and working in the Alpha District where my partner and I operate a contract mustering and beef cattle operation. I also enjoy being a volunteer at a variety of local events in my community. I am excited to have joined the Flor-Hanly team in January 2024. I will complete my accounting studies mid-2024.  All my ties to the district mean that although I am excited to begin my career work in the accounting field, I didn't want to have to move to the city to do this.

Fortunately, I heard about the Flor-Hanly at the right time. Not only do they have a strong team of Agribusinesses specialists but they also have great training, systems and processes so that team members can develop their professional careers from any location. As part of my interview process, I spent a day in the office getting to know the team and see firsthand how the firm operates. One thing that really excited and surprised me was the technology used. Everyone has 3 screens, laptops and takes part in morning workflow meetings. Everyone who works remotely is able to easily participate in workflow meetings and training. This also makes sure the whole team is aware of clients' individual needs and priorities.

Having grown up on my family’s beef cattle and grain operation near Clermont Qld, has led me to be passionate about agribusiness. This opportunity at Flor-Hanly allows for me to play a part in helping primary producers and their businesses. I have found my time at Flor-Hanly to be welcoming and everyone has made me feel apart of the ‘family’ and I believe that their values are like no other; they really do care about people. By working remotely I am now able to grow in my chosen profession and still be a part of our cattle business.
